|Seem that these days...'cos of global warming and all that...there has been many talks about Gaia and our Mother Earth (Very superficial though)...so I thought I just shared a piece on the same subject which I came across many years and years ago...
Voices of Earth
You ask me to plough the ground,
shall I take a knife & tear into my mother's breast,
and when I die she will not take me into her bosom to rest.
You ask me to dig for gold,
shall I dig under her skin for her bone,
and when I die I cannot enter her body to be born again.
You ask me to cut the forest
and make wood, sell it and be rich,
but how dare I cut off my mother's hairs !
I only ask that we love and embrace each other.
Is that so difficult......
